Companionship
Conversation, coffee, a walk, shared time and a familiar person who shows up.
A trusted person on the ground for families who cannot always be nearby. Shepherd provides non-medical companionship, everyday help, and family connection with clear consent and boundaries.
From a grocery run to a familiar conversation, we provide practical, non-medical support while keeping the person receiving help in control.
Conversation, coffee, a walk, shared time and a familiar person who shows up.
Groceries, price comparison, everyday purchases and an extra pair of hands.
Non-medical accompaniment to appointments and practical help getting there and back.
Technology assistance, research, calls, coordination and ordinary problems that are easier with someone beside you.
Our launch standard is built around screening, training, consent, confidentiality and continuity.
We accept only situations we believe we can support safely and responsibly.
Who needs support? What would make everyday life easier? Who is asking for help, and what does the person receiving support want?
We confirm the service is appropriate, document consent and decide what information may be shared with which family members.
Whenever possible, a primary Shepherd becomes the familiar person who returns, with a trained backup available.
Support time starts when your Shepherd arrives and meets the person receiving service — not while travelling to the visit.
Approved family members can receive an appropriate update after the visit, subject to the client's permission.
The goal is not a rotating stranger. It is a reliable relationship that feels familiar and respectful.
Vancouver pilot plans are designed for families who want dependable access, clear coordination, and regular in-person support.
Family profile, coordinator access, permission management, matching, updates and priority scheduling. In-person support is purchased separately.
Support time begins at arrival. Service area, minimum visit length and travel rules are confirmed before enrollment.
“I know what it feels like to live far from family — and to wonder who will be there when someone you love needs help. Shepherd was created for that distance.”
We will listen, confirm whether Shepherd is the right fit, and explain exactly how support, consent, and family updates would work.
