What we help with

The everyday help families wish they could provide in person.

How it works

From worry to a trusted person on the ground.

We accept only situations we believe we can support safely and responsibly.

01 · Family conversation

Tell us what is happening

Who needs support? What would make everyday life easier? Who is asking for help, and what does the person receiving support want?

02 · Consent & fit

Confirm permissions and boundaries

We confirm the service is appropriate, document consent and decide what information may be shared with which family members.

03 · Match

Meet your Shepherd

Whenever possible, a primary Shepherd becomes the familiar person who returns, with a trained backup available.

04 · Support

Show up and help

Support time starts when your Shepherd arrives and meets the person receiving service — not while travelling to the visit.

05 · Update

Stay connected

Approved family members can receive an appropriate update after the visit, subject to the client's permission.

06 · Continuity

Build trust over time

The goal is not a rotating stranger. It is a reliable relationship that feels familiar and respectful.

Clear service boundary: Shepherd Family Connect provides non-medical companionship and practical everyday support. If a need falls outside our scope, we will say so.
Why Shepherd exists

“I know what it feels like to live far from family — and to wonder who will be there when someone you love needs help. Shepherd was created for that distance.”

Tell us who you wish you could be there for.

We will listen, confirm whether Shepherd is the right fit, and explain exactly how support, consent, and family updates would work.
